Welcome to A Mom's Guide to Sanity!
I have always known that I wanted to help people, including myself to heal and grow, but I was never really sure how. I became a Massage Therapist so I could help people feel better in their bodies physically. I studied and became certified in Hypnosis so that I could help people overcome the limitations that they have placed upon themselves in their minds. I studied and became certified in Aromatherapy so I could bring a creative and fun twist to health and healing. I have studied Reiki energy healing to facilitate healing through loving touch. I have also trained in Holistic healing.
I am a published author of two books, A Mom's Guide to Sanity and An Itsy, Bitsy, Teeny, Weeny Guide to Life, which brings everything I have learned into print. Both books are fully of easy and fast ways to cope with life's everyday stress.
With all the trainings I have experienced, I have learned that only you can change you. No one can do anything for you except support, influence and guide you. Unless you are ready and willing to change things in your life, not even the best therapist, doctor or healer will be able to help you for any extended period of time. That is the key! 1. Breathe. It brings oxygen to your entire body and helps bring you back into the present moment.
2. Nourish your body. Eat consciously, slowly and healthfully.
3. Exercise. Move your body every single day.
4. Water. Drink it.
5. Sleep. Get it.
6. Think positive thoughts. Phrase everything you say in the positive (including what you say to yourself).
7. Know that you have a purpose and that you are doing your very best. Please don't "should" on yourself.
8. Know that we are all connected. What you do comes back to you.
9. Know that with your powerful self you create your entire world (for better or worse).
10. Know that you are always guided, nudged and/or beaten in the head with the truth whether you realize it or not.
